Moss Agate

What is Moss Agate

Moss Agate is formed from silicon dioxide and is a form of chalcedony. It includes intrusions of minerals of a green color embedded into the stone, forming patterns that resemble moss. The clear or milky-white part of the stone is composed of quartz and he intrusions may include minerals classified as oxides of manganese or iron. Moss agate does not actually contain any organic matter and is usually formed from weathered volcanic rocks.

Healing with Moss Agate

Moss Agate has the same healing properties as Agate and Chalcedony and more. Moss Agate is a stone of new beginnings. It will free any blockages in the Heart Chakra to allow love and abundance to flow freely. By this, it attracts abundance in wealth and good friends. It promotes self-confidence and self-expression and inspires new ideas, especially during times of block. Moss Agate bridges a connection to the Earth beneath you and the world above and works to soothe and calm you. It can help reduce sensitivities to weather.
